OpenSea

What we use it for

Floor prices, sales data, active listings, and collection metadata for Ethereum collections.

OpenSea sales also provide the underlying transactions used in several of GlintLore's collection-level measurements.

Important limitation

OpenSea's marketplace data reflects activity observed through OpenSea. An active listing count therefore represents listings surfaced by OpenSea, not the total number of listings across all marketplaces.

For this reason, listing counts are collected as a data point but are not currently published as a GlintLore metric.

Alchemy

What we use it for

On-chain wallet balances for Ethereum collections. These balances are used to calculate holder counts, ownership concentration, and top-holder information.

Important limitation

This data is currently available to GlintLore for Ethereum only.

Because we do not have an equivalent reliable source for Solana holder data, Solana collections do not display holder figures rather than relying on an estimate.

Magic Eden

What we use it for

Floor prices, sales, and listing data for Solana collections tracked by GlintLore.

Important limitation

Magic Eden's sales data is paginated. For collections where the available pagination does not provide a complete record, GlintLore treats the result as incomplete rather than presenting it as a complete total.

How GlintLore uses data

Third-party data is the starting point, not the finished product.

GlintLore combines available market and blockchain data with its own methodology to create collection-level measurements, classifications, and editorial context.

Where the available data does not support a reliable conclusion, we prefer to leave a figure blank rather than manufacture precision.

Data may also be delayed, incomplete, or revised as new information becomes available.

What this site is not

Not investment advice

GlintLore reports what it measures, explains where the data comes from, and provides editorial context.

Nothing on the site is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. No GlintLore metric is intended to predict future performance.

Not a marketplace

Nothing is bought or sold through GlintLore, and no transaction passes through the site.

Links to marketplaces exist so readers can access the underlying work or collection. Those marketplaces operate independently and have their own terms.

Not complete

GlintLore tracks only the collections included in its index, and tracking begins from the date each collection is added.

Unless otherwise stated, measurements such as first, highest, or most active refer only to the period during which GlintLore has been tracking that collection.

Not the blockchain

GlintLore is an interpretation layer built on top of publicly available data and third-party sources.

The site does not claim to be a complete record of everything happening across digital collectible markets.
